Intended to rule from an early age, Willem was raised by his father as if he were to be a noble in the coming years. As time grew on, issues with his father and his twisted logic became apparent. Willem left home at the age of sixteen when it seemed the two would never see eye to eye.
Where he went no one really knows, but for a time he was gone, a sailor known as Eluf Stryker sailed upon the Tarnished Chalice, though no one has been able to know the two people are one at the moment.
After being gone for over two years, Willem soon found himself in charge of Paggion household after he returned home and his father had an accident. The immediate family rarely, if ever, brings up Gaius' death in private, much less in public. After the death of his father, Willem has purchased a falconing business from a small family in Green Fields, with the plans of restoring wealth and honor to the family name.

March 24, 507. Through connections, Willem finds himself the owner of the storefront that will become Gateway Falconry Company, built on the ashes of the shop originally belonging to Emmaline Sheppard.
November 507. Gateway Falconry Company officially opens.
January 17, 508. Willem is named Baron Regent of Amphorae.
