The known history and rumors about this young woman is little, but originally, the few that exist all started on the steps of the Academy in Mist. Left on the footsteps of the building, the orphan was picked up and taken care of forever on by a Professor called Grace. The rest can be called history.

That is until recently; new rumors of this woman's history is appearing that is finally expressing the truth of her life. Someone (Iorwerth) solved the riddle to free this young woman from her twisted life; finally, free of enslavement and being used for nefarious means, she is now on the road of learning. A brand new set of adventures laid out in front of her like finding out whom she is, to figure out how to live in this new life, and continue to go forward to her dreams. How will it all unfold? Each step is a chapter in her life. Will you be in it?

Background

Rosette was consummated unknowingly from a brief fling between her mother and the Mogur, Aniel Eilian. The Father was left unaware of the child, because the mother was not aware until the second trimester and was uncertain to whom the child belonged to. In the end, being unhealthily taken care of in the womb, Rosette was born a premie and dumped upon her mother's friend. Due to this hazardous care and premature birth, Rosette has been born with lots of physical aliments such as asthma, swift shortness of breath, small in stature, petite, and fairly weak n' delicate along with other problems.

Secretly, the friend was jealous and envious of affair in which was punished on Rosette. The friend despised the child as she stood for everything she hated, because of this, he raised Rosette with great neglect and treated her as a personal 'maid', also known as, slave. To hide this abuse from public, the friend, whom was a professor/teacher at the Magic Academy, allowed Rosette to attend the Academy. Behind the scenes, he taunted this position by stating to Rosette it was her 'reward' if she was good. Unknown to Rosette, the friend purposefully in sly and unnoticeable ways made sure her academic days were nightmarish among her peers and 'slipped' rumors/gossip among the staff.

It may come as no surprise because of this twisted childhood that she is shy, skiddish, socially inept, gullible, naive, no self-esteem, a daydreamer, and obedient to a fault.

The girl was raised with no knowledge of whom her parents were. She was always told she was left, abandoned, on the Academy's steps, which is not -too- far from the truth.

Because of the demanded public display to hide the grimy truth beneath, the friend did allow Rosette to participate at the age of four to the journey to the Breath and return in her adolescence as necessary.

Rosette did her rebellion to the injustice occurring in a more scholarly fashion to not bring any more harsh treatment upon herself. Despite the adversity and publicly unknown, the young teen was sharp as a whip and devoured her studies and practice, definitely in her specialized sphere of Metamagic. Secretly, she read books in the cover of the night acquiring rather stealthy skills and enjoying the freedom of the mind that the books brought. Unfortunately, due to how she was raised and history, under pressure or any public focus, she notoriously flubs up most of the spells in which labeled her as a 'dud' and a 'nuisance' as I imagine metagmagic flubs aren't fun to anyone mage around!

The reason she came to Gateway? Her caretaker has been asked to be interviewed and hopefully accepted as one of the magic teacher's at the university. Naturally, she was taken along.

Rumor has it...

Freedom

After a long ordeal, Rosette gained her freedom. The person whom freed her from her enslaver, the Others, slavehood, and her past was Iorwerth.

Sister

Shortly after her freedom was gained, news came about that Rosette had a half-sister somewhere out there. A few months later, Baroness Phoebe Forester came to claim Rosette as her own (partial) blood. The connection being from their shared father, Aniel Eilian.

Healer

After her freedom, and before her sister, Rosette obtained the title of apprentice healer. She gained such by passing her test, which was if she could survive being out on the field during the Rebellion War of Guardian, than, she could be an apprentice. This, of course, was only one part of many things acquired to pass.

Freedom of my Brethren

In Progress:

Finally, after gathering enough strength and courage, Rosette is speaking out about what happened to her and starting a movement to save her brethren, others like her, and is taking such a project by the lead. As of yet, it is only in the beginning stage, and quiet.

Broken Heart

Forever thoughtful, Rosette has reached a climax in her life that involves her heart. A subject that she would have never dreamed of being a topic, ever, to consider. Over the months, she became romantically involved with Mathis, though, mostly unknown to the public. Unfortunately, Rosette was slow to come about being intimate, such as kissing or anything more, because of her past. A fact that Mathis kept on trying to push. Still, the pair continued to grow close. But despite her feelings for Mathis, on Monday, December 01, 504, she broke up the relationship between the pair. Why? Unfortunately, Rosette knew that her half-sister, Phoebe, would not agree with it. Therefore, she had to pick between family or Mathis. A few other determining factors were his age, his fleeting feelings and doubts, and constant pressures for certain things. So, in the end, she broke up with him.

Rock in a Hard Place

Lately, after much craziness ensuing due to false rumors, Rosette went to the beach for a moment to herself to think and breath. When out there, she got lost in thought, to a point where the tide rose up around her, unnoticed. When a splash of cold water hit her, she snapped out of her thoughts to find herself stranded on a rock in the ocean. The water to deep for her to wade, and she doesn't know how to swim. Really, it was no big deal to her, as she planned on simply waiting for the tide to go back out, but the Emperor and his contingent stumbled upon her. Unfortunately, she could not stand up to curtsy, and her voice to soft to carry the distance to the shore. He sent for her sister, whom came with Lord Garett, and well, more and more people seemed to gather around until it was quite the event - much to Rosette's embarrassment. In the end, Garett saved her, despite her despise of male touch, because of words her sister whispered into her ear, because of magic. Another innocent endeavor gone awry.

Mother by Heart

On Dec 11th, 504 A.G., Marike Esper became Rosette's surrogate mother, unofficially, within the Hall of Prayers. She became Rosette's mother by heart. A fact both delighted in, and for the first time, Rosette was able to get hugged by her mother. A significant event as, finally, Rosette is starting to come with terms with her past.

Twist of Fate

March 21, 505 A.G., Phoebe received two bogus messages in which she used to get ride of Rosette. Despite the falsehood of them, Phoebe didn't care as, truth be told, the sisterly love was not there between the pair. This was simply an opportunity to dispose of Rosette in the fake facade of 'justification'. Admittedly, Rosette does not care about being renounced. The only issue that disturbs her is the treat of being fired from the infirmary, which she will fight tooth and nail. A threat that Phoebe is trying to bring about by her title.

Personality

Due to her past, Rosette personality is very interesting. It is often contradictory as her experiences were limited in the past and are not fully supportive to the one she lives now. Each step in life is an adventure for her as she learns more about herself.

Naive - Rosette is extremely naïve to some things and finds many things surprising in this new life.
Innocent – There is an innocence about her that was saved from her hope and faith in her past. She tries to believe in the best of anyone she meets until otherwise experienced.
Shy – She can be very shy due to her past around others, particularly, those of power or questionable character.
Thoughtful - Rosette is a very thoughtful person. Due to the fact everything is nearly new, she tries to take perspective of it, and figure out how to receive it or react to it.
Daydreamer - Often lost in a daydream can Rosette be found as always dream about the future, hopes for tomorrow, and wishes of the moment.
Passionate - One thing can not be denied about Rosette and that is her passion. She is very passionate and soulful once she gets going upon certain topics. Perhaps it is her naivety that has her heart so fully into everything she does.
Hard Worker – No matter what the job, duty, or punishment, Rosette tries her best at it. She always gives it her all as it is a habit from her past to please and try to get praise for doing good.
Clever - Despite her outer shell, she is a very smart and clever woman, having been forced to learn a few habits in her past life, but only those whom truly know her get to see this side. Her other quirks tend to overcome and hide this fact from public.
Klutz - Undeniably, Rosette is a Kluzilla. She gets so nervous from her shyness in situations that she just turns spastic. Graceful is -not- a tribute that belongs to her.
Inner Strength – Rosette has a quiet strength that resounds within her. There is a very calming, quiet strength that comes from within her and fine-tuned from her prior life. This is a fact she is unaware of yet, but slowly coming into knowledge from certain friends.

Family Tree

Through time, Rosette has gotten close to a few individuals, and though not all share blood, she considers them family. This is her family tree.

Caspian Fernwick – Unforunately, these two bitterly dislike each other due to an incident which Rosette will not forget. Period.
Charleston Pemberton - This man is someone Rosette, also, considers as a friend. She loves to visit him, and have him around, as he always makes her giggle with his odd ways. She is simply charmed by his personality and behavior and hobbies.
Coroliss Lucale – This person is someone whom she'd really like to get to know better, but never has had the chance yet in their meetings.

Deuce McKinna – A person whom she likes, and considered him a dear friend. He always makes her smile.

Edelle Orson – She is uncertain about this one due to her loud ways, but she seems of good spirits.
Ellie Clapton - Ellie. She's the one that made the stint in the break-up between Mathis and Rosette happen. It would have been nothing if not for her ridiculous behavior during the period. Therefore, she has given up on the girl.
Eira Arden-Ellenta – Eira was Rosette's first friend, and taught her many lessons that has helped her to this day in making more and new friends. She misses her greatly.
Elymas Borak – A pleasant, old man that is full of wisdom whom Rosette has meet a few times, and always enjoyed.

Iorwerth Crestwood – These two have a huge, strangled relationship. Much more complex than him just being her boss as he is the Master Healer. He is the one to have saved Rosette from her past, and took care of her for the longest period, but his ways were definitely unconventional to say in the least. Despite that, Ro get praise from him by doing good, but seems to never do. In the end, Rosette does love the man, but only as a surrogate brother – a term that even Iorwerth accepted. That's something, right???

Kali Helkaer - Rosette is -very- uncomfortable around her because of her ways. Still, she mentioned somethings that intrigued Rosette, and desires to speak with her more upon the topic.
Keldar - This infant stole Rosette's heart upon sight, definately when hearing his story - so similar to her own. Of course, this pulled on her heart strings and her passion. She wants nothing more than to give her all to the infant, and try to do her best in helping Titus with him. In the end, for her, it's whats best for the infant that counts.

Laraine Karaganinas – This person took care of Rosette when she had no shelter over her head, nor food in her stomach. This has earned Rosette's forever gratitude and friendship. She admires, and looks up to the woman with a reverence for her gentleness and ways.
Lazarus Karaganinas – Lazarus is Rosette's mentor in her vocals and singing lessons. He has been very kind, and helped Rosette break out of her shell. She has much to owe him in thanks, and considers him a friend and mentor for life.
Liam Conway – Rosette loves this person to death. They have had their issues, but at the end of the day, he is by far her surrogate brother that she loves and cares for dear.

Marike Esper – Rosette is comfortable around Marike and trusts her fully; being able to just be herself. She thoroughly enjoys the woman and only wishes more time could be spent with her. On Dec 11th, 504 A.G., she became Rosette's surrogate mother, unofficially; she became Rosette's mother by heart.
Mathis Cardiff – She hates this man with a passion. Period. Nothing else to say. She will never forgive him.
Mouse - She hates this man with a passion. Period. He has done damage to her on par with the Others. She can't phantom ever forgiving him for his sins.

Newt – Rosette's heart goes out to this one as she easily sees herself within the young boy. She sympathizes and wishes and hopes she can do more for him one day.

Phailin Forester – Rosette would love to get to know this woman better and maybe be friends, but as it stands, she always seem to catch her in awkward or bad moments, and so does not think the woman likes her at all, and only deals with her when necessary, unfortunately.
Philomena Caprios – This woman only seems to catch Rosette in awkward moments, or so it seems to Ro, and fears that the Empress does not like her for a number of reasons.
Phoebe Forester - Phoebe is Rosette's half-sister. While she originally thought the world of her, she was quickly to see how utterly vile and disgusting she was. Plus, the fact, that Rosette knew she didn't give a damn about her quickly lead to a quiet disgust of the woman. She was thrilled the day she was released for her grip.
Phoenix Forester – Rosette likes this man so very much as her kinda-cousin. That is how she considers him: her kinda-cousin, since they are related through Phoebe in a -very- extended way. She feels like she can really be herself and at ease around him, which is why she likes him so much. Plus, she thinks he is uber cool and does not mind his character whatsoever.

Ravelle Soranus - Only briefly met, from what she has heard about her, she is very interested in her and only hopes to meet her soon again to talk.
Raziel Devonshire – She is entirely uncertain about this man. While he is her Duke, his shifty ways and some things she has seen, plus experienced, with him has her not trusting him, his act, nor his character whatsoever. This fact is not known to any, though, as she keeps simply pleasant and warm towards him, but always with an underlined worry, not express or show her unease with him. He reminds her much of a slithering snake. Still, she needs and tries to put and have faith in the man, but is it very hard for her.
Rourke Caprios – She's unhappy with him. Apparently, Emperor's /do/ listen to rumors and believe them. How stupid and foolish. And this man is supposed to be the leader of our people? No wonder such evil exists in our world.

Solphin Acaran – Another person whom Rosette does not entirely like. She will never show it, but due to some of their meetings, she did not get a positive response from her, and left either disgruntled or unhappy. So, she isn't in the best standings in Rosette's books.
Titus - Titus was among Rosette's first patients. She helped him when he lost his memories to find it. They meet, again, but this time he had an infant in arm. Together, they have created and entered into a new friendship and partnership in effort to provide and find what is best for the baby.

The Mogur – This is a person whom Rosette looks up to and wishes to be like when she grows up. He has the skills that Rosette has only dreamed of. After speaking with him, Rosette is only more stoked and hopes to earn more attention from him with her progress and things she does. She definitely does not want to let this one down nor have any negative thoughts or opinions about her.
Thorvald Absalon - Thorvald was Rosette's first patient. Around him, Rosette is nervous, because he drugged her once to escape her attendance as Iorwerth set the young woman to follow the man until he was better as his injuries were quite serious.

Weath Conway – It would seem a change has happened between her relationship with the man, and they are much more friendly, which she is happy for, because she really does care and like the man. She is glad this turn of events has happened.

Zipporah Gilat – After a few run-ins, meetings, and than an incident involving one of her closet friends, this one will never be within Rosette's good book. Period.

Trivia

Though, her father is Aniel Eilian, Rosette does not know this fact. Therefore, at the moment, she has no last name and is only Rosette.
Rosette use to have an ugly stutter, but thanks to Mentor Lazarus Karaganinas and an unknown fact, the stutter is gone.
Rosette takes voice lessons, still, from Mentor Lazarus Karaganinas and loves them dear.
Often, Rosette will use the term "Others" when she describes her past - and those are people whom she was leased out to during her slavehood years. Her memory can not recall them well from the fact that often she was drugged or given Mourning Draught during such periods. Therefore, she can only recall them as Others.
Rosette does not know the date of her birth, so has never known her birthday, nor has had it ever celebrated in one form or another.
Due to her prior life, Rosette does not have many life lessons, skills, or experiences that support her well in this new life. So, often, many things are new to her - like how to react to a situation, how to feel about a situation, and how to understand or perceive an experience just to list a few examples.
Her favorite food/dessert is cheesecake (of any kind)! Mmmm, cheesecake.
