Only daughter of the prominent Ravensford line of the Moonshadow Barony, Lady Meredith's path had been very much like a chaotic whirlwind. From rumored prisoner to Duchess Consort, from spurned fiancee to Duchess Regent -- her life finally seemed to be stabilizing with the betrothal to Raziel Devonshire, current Duke Regent and former Baron of Dragon Lake. Many eyes remained fixed upon the couple curious as to whether or not the heir should ever see the age to sit upon the ducal throne.
Meredith Ravensford had been set to wed Duke Lazarus of Mists, and was with child by him when the Duke took gravely ill. Unable to serve in the capacity required of him, Lazarus abdicated his title and its responsibilities to become Lord of Mists along with his sister, Laraine. Meredith, still pregnant, went on to marry Raziel Devonshire in 502.
With a seemingly better suited pair than her previous engagement, Meredith had been somewhat more subdued. Some suggested perhaps motherhood was agreeing with the tempermental woman -- though most merely hint it was the calm before the storm. Whatever the case, the new Duchess Regent appeared to be actually standing at the side of her new betrothed without the need of a muzzle or leash. Could it be possible that perhaps she was not as unstable as many once thought?
It is a question that will never be answered. When the Conjunction occurred in early 504, Meredith Ravensford was killed in the fires that raged through the city.
