Malachi Enoch "Spook" Windermere

The shipwreck of the streets, the manic depressive former Lord Wraith's Watch, Malachi is anything but ordinary. He quite oft typifies the stereotype of hermetic oddness attributed to those of the Watch, given to indulgent tastes, prolonged periods of isolation from the general populace, and wild and unexplainable shifts in behavior and mood.

Having arrived on Gateway by way of his home Isle of Mists, he's made quite the impression on many of those individuals residing on Gateway Isle. The hearsay is he's connected to many of the shadowy magical cults that reside in his ancestral Lordship, and he's rumored to have a very "laissez faire" policy of rule, encouraging theological and philosophical diversity in his lands.

Known to just about any indiscretion, it's common knowledge that he often used to stroll about the Castle, thoroughly strung out and often very intoxicated. If recent gossip holds any truth, though, those wild days and nights are behind him, and a shroud of perpetual semi-sobriety has supposedly settled about the foppish mage.

More recently, Malachi was imprisoned under suspicion of being a follower of the Lord of the Abyss. He was in jail from October to November of 503 A.G., and was eventually released quietly, rumors abounding of his allegiances and dalliances with a young Castle maid by the name of Melody Wainswright. It was very soon after this that he was named Baron of Foxfire Cradle, with his younger brother Joachim taking up the mantle of Lord Wraith's Watch in his stead.

And yet more recently, our poor little Baron was incarcerated under suspicions of demon worship -- again -- in October 504 A.G.

More trouble regarding the Baron occurred with Melody's death on November 26, 505. The young woman apparently committed suicide. Malachi and Melody had previously courted for approximately two years before the relationship dissolved. No word from the Baron has been given to the public regarding this matter.

Stripped of nobility and lands in May 506 A.G.

"Good evening, starshine! The earth says /hello/!"
