Joachim Zohar Windermere

Joachim was the 'spare heir' to Wraith's Watch for the better part of 16 years, leaving that responsibility to his older brother, Malachi. Being at such a drastic difference in age, the boys were nearly inseparable from the moment of Joachim's birth, to the point where it wouldn't be inaccurate to say that Dear Brother Spook raised young Jo.

Raised as the 'spare' heir, Joachim was given even more freedom than his brother, who was 'tethered' by 'responsibility' of the Watch. Though, as anyone who actually knows the watch would know, the Windermeres' have an infamously lax policy of rule in their familial lands. Something of a curiosity seeing that the Watch is home to some of the darkest magics and despicable cultists.

The family is a direct representation of the questionable nature of the land. Spook proved to be the subject of many rumors and raised eyebrows when he arrived on the isle, prone to fits of hysteria and counter-productivity, no doubt there were many a person groaning when they heard that the man's younger, lesser known (some might say mysteriously absent) brother was named Lord after Malachi was named Baron Foxfire Cradle.

Yet, nobody groaned louder than Joachim.

Quite comfortable in his place in the Watch (whatever that might've been), he is the epitome of a reluctant Lord. Prone to long stints of hermited behavior, shying away from crowds and the public in general, this is not because of his lack of genial nature. In fact, in true Windermere fashion, the young man is often described as playful, jovial and dramatic with a strange naivety that is less 'naive' and more 'otherworldly', as if he were born from another reach of the universe entirely.

He is prone to fits of dazed behavior, often trailing off in the middle of sentences, forgetting what he was talking about or changing mood and subject altogether on a whim.

Recent Happenings

After having arrived on the Isle, he was seen in the company of Lady Miranda Conway. The friendship quickly blossomed into a violent blow up of sorts that keeps the young man on edge around the powerful Guardian family.

Soon after the mishap with Lady Conway, he was seen more peacefully in the company of Lady Heir Banshee's Shriek, Roslyn Vervoer. The two are seemingly inseparable.

October 504 A.G., Joachim had his first (some would say very expected) run in with the law when his brother and he were both arrested under the suspicion of demon worship. Both brothers were released and charges dropped after two weeks holding.

Doing his Lordly duty, Joachim was seen presiding over the marriage of Master Mage Krelian Ortus and Citizen Vaia Wendt.
