Game Information
From Crossroads Wiki
Crossroads MUSH has been around for just over two years now, and our players continue to collaborate on ever-increasing detail about our virtual world. We'll try to document as much of our history on this site as we can, and do so in a way that is easy for both new and experienced players to access. Feel free to join us in this project.
Disclaimer: The information presented on this site is meant to be an introduction and guide to the game. It is a reference library, and not the be-all and end-all source of information. The history and information provided here is meant to assist players new and old with joining the game and having fun, but there are a number of things which may not be found within these pages that are still considered canon to the game. Because of the dynamic nature of CrossroadsMUSH, our game will constantly change and evolve, and not everything that happens on the game will reach the wiki in a timely fashion (if at all). If you have a question about something which cannot be found within these pages, please feel free to ask your faction head or the friendly admins, all of whom will be more than happy to assist you with garnering the information your character should have.

Noble Requirements
Before you apply to be a noble, please keep in mind that there are a limited number of positions for nobles on Crossroads, and as such there are a few requirements for them that we wish to see fulfilled. Staff does not wish to police this area heavily, so do not expect that you'll have someone looking over your shoulder to monitor your fulfillment of duties. However, if they go unfulfilled enough that staff notices, we will deal with the matter expediently. Keep in mind that we all understand people have lives which might interfere. We simply as a bottom line expect people to be mature about the roles they take on, to let staff know if there's going to be a period of inactivity, and to be accepting if they are unable to keep up with the responsibilities and so are asked to step down.
Each landed figure is expected to meet with their liege and their vassals once a month RL, or if that is not possible, to send someone on their behalf. Your liege is responsible for scheduling meetings with you, and you are responsible for scheduling them with your vassals. Keep in mind, if you cannot attend either of these, it is a good opportunity to appoint someone to handle a meeting ICly. It generates RP!
Nobles are expected to be online and active. We are not going to set a minimum hour requirement on nobles, but refer to the earlier note that we will deal with the matter if it begins to be apparent.
As a noble you are both invited and expected to craft the story of what's happening in your lands, and be aware that those up the political chain from you may occasionally do the same and impact you as a landholder. As an example, the Duke of Mists may design a TP that will have certain occurrences in the lands of several people on his isle. We're all on a game where we can be storytellers for each other, so this should be welcomed. Likewise, the Lord of Wraith's Watch may want to start a plot that begins in his own lands, and the same holds true; he could end up bringing word of trouble in his lands to a meeting with his baron, and can be the storyteller of it.
