Evelyn Locksley

Being born into wealth and privilege isn’t just the playground of the nobility, for the Locksley family from Guardians seem to have that well in hand, even if they are merchants. Their name is well-known on their home isle and their fame is spreading. Evelyn was born the fourth child and second daughter to Dane and Marian Locksley and while her siblings were joining the legions, she did not continue after the six months of basic training, choosing to follow a merchant and craftsman’s life, rather than one of career military.

Her interests with jewels came at an early age, but what else would be expected when one’s family controls a diamond mine? She has an excellent eye and nimble fingers and while she proved exceptional with daggers, she also proved an able craftswoman, at one time thinking she’s follow that path and become a jeweler. But other abilities proved even more useful. She as a great eye for detail and seems to have a natural gift for telling quality from junk. She’s especially good at detecting forgeries and more than once her able eyes have canceled what looked to be a fabulous deal, saving her family a good deal of money in the process. She’s gone on to become an appraiser, leaving her interests in become a jeweler as more of a hobby.

509-05-13 - Evelyn returns to Gateway Isle
509-06-03 - Evelyn gets stocked at a public event. She'll stand behind it being wrongfully done.
509-12-10 - Eve has a long meeting with an important man. It is said it is the first time that anyone has ever witnessed her tears.
509-12-13 - The Locksleys move to Gateway Isle to set up permanent residence. Madelynn and Sawyer are seen more.
510-01-24 - Evelyn takes a position from Caprice Trillare with the theater. There are rumors that she may be seeking it's purchase. 510-02-01 - Evelyn buys the theater outright and soon the Trails End Stables. 511-09-03 - After almost a year of doing her own 'thang' Evelyn re-emerges. She immediately starts in my meeting and greeting under the new Tyr rulers. 511-11-13 - Eve spends some time in a private meeting at the temple. Speculation abounds.

The Family - All things Locksley - She is not normally found saying anything negative about a Locksley and seems to have a good public relationship with all of them. There is one thing for certain. She will NOT forgive any slight against a Locksley or the Locksley name. The same seems to be true of all of the family. They are like some poisonous snakes and like to attack as a pack when one becomes on the 'outs' with the family. They are sometimes just as sneaky about it too.

Lovers - There is not one that can recall Eve ever taking a man to her bed or being in a long term relationship with one. Of course, it has had to happen but if she has lovers or a personal relationship it is just that; personal

Friends - If you are her friend, you know it without question. It are the few and elite that get to meet this woman and see the true her beneath the glittery surface. When one is a friend, she will protect them to the best of her ability and allow them into the inner circle of her trust.

Play Things - These are just people that she has no real feelings for. They are not her friends, they are not her enemies. They simply are. Perhaps better put they are there for her amusement and she's been known to get under the skin of a few just to watch what happens.

Enemies - To be most honest, one might not be fully aware that Eve hates them or is plotting their end. She might not be the most blood-thirsty of the Locksley clan but she remembers a slight, though she's more willing to forgive personal ones. If you are an enemy, you'll know when the time is right.

• She loves horses, art and thrown weapons.
• She has been known to play a practical joke or two.
• She likes to call people 'Darling' or 'Sweetheart' because she's forgotten their names.
• She stirs up 'trouble' with citizens for fun and never truly malicious and NEVER with nobility.
• Evelyn believes in a clear separation of class and dislikes nobles that are informal with citizens.
• Eve enjoys chess and logic puzzles.
• She has been seen in the company of Card on more than one occasion, but the two seem to be friends.
• She spends a lot of time with the Barcas and gets ticked if anyone speaks bad about them.
• She adores games of chance and it is hard for her not to take a dare when it is issued, unless it will bring shame to the Locksley name.
• She likes to play matchmaker so that others can ignore that she's avoiding it.
• Evelyn finds the company of children enjoyable (but she will deny this).
• She can sometimes be roped into things or swayed away from things by a sad story.
• Eve does not desire to talk about Shayne's death. If possible, she will change the subject immediately. Only those that are the closest have ever gotten her thoughts on this.
• Dream Maker - She likes to think that she can make most dreams a reality. The problem is, it always comes with a price.
