Born on Draught to a pair of adamant purists, Elysia was a prodigy from an early age. Earning mixed reviews from her parents, however, she chose to apply her intelligence and curiosity to the art of healing. Though not the pure life they themselves preferred, her parents also believed that such talents could be put to important use serving the Emperor, and used some of their connections to secure her a position in the infirmary at the castle.

When Elysia first arrived, it was clear that despite her intelligence and skill, she was lacking in things like a bedside manner. After nearly a year in the castle infirmary, studying and developing skills in acupuncture, Elysia found herself frustrated and stymied by a lack of advancement.

Her solution was to sign on with the navy. After almost four years stationed shipboard and on Landry, she's returned to Gateway.
