Elymas Esper *

Elymas Borak Esper is a High Mage with a specialty in Metamagic. He served on the Mists Academy Council until the year 502 when he retired after his ten year tenure. He led the voting block that supported Aniel Eilian as Mogur Imperius in 500. He has an affinity for mentoring and is quite the traditionalist.

He has reportedly been betrothed to, and then broken off the betrothals, with at least two nobles, Isolde Claremont of Draught and Phoebe Forester (then of Green Fields). In an unusual conclusion to the betrothal with Phoebe, which broke down when he took over the post of Mogur Imperius from the Blue Mage and was no longer able to give up his loyalty to Mists, he made arrangements for Phoebe to become a Mistian noble herself, with the title of Baroness.

He resigned his post as Mogur in May 504, appointing the virtually unknown mage Davias Idramuse to take his position. He has withdrawn from many things magical. A third betrothal to nobility came to a successful conclusion, as Elymas married Marike Esper and assumed both her name and the title Lord Eleki Beach.
