Description: The flat barony (O HAI EAMONN!)

History

Crucible is one of the five baronies of Guardian, located on the eastern coast of the isle. Between its four lordships it possesses a fairly diverse landscape and is home to a wide range of industries of varying levels of profitability. Its capital is the port city of Sentinel Spire in the south, which controls all trade and traffic with nations outside the barrier. Consequently, Crucible is one of the wealthier baronies, at least in Guardian. It has been ruled for the last five centuries by the Kilgannon family: The current baron is Eamonn Kilgannon, the baroness his wife Ysora Kilgannon nee Maritus.

Economy

Sentinel Spire, the second-largest city on Guardian, is a port located almost due south of Gwencalon, on the opposite coast. For many years after the raising of the barrier, the port of Sentinel Spire dealt only in trade with Crucible, southern Trebachas, and some portions of Dun Artan. Its prosperity waned and its great buildings fell into disrepair. When Emperor Rourke opened the barrier once again it was Sentinel Spire that profited most directly, as all traffic from foreign nations is required to stop in that city after entering the Sea of Veils and before proceeding anywhere else in Gateway. Massive renovation and reconstruction projects have been undertaken in the last years, and the city is now well on its way to becoming a bustling, prosperous metropolis.

The rest of the barony is not so wealthy, and mostly flat. Insert more economy here!
