Crossroads MUSH

All good things, they say, must come to an end. I don't know who "they" were, but they're real punks, aren't they? Definitely. In this case, though, they seem to be right.

It's been 6.5 years of fantasy and fun, storytelling and conflict, romance and magic and whatnot; it's been a good run for Crossroads MUSH, but the time has come to draw it to a close.

We've considered other options, leaving it up and running in a new direction, and in the end we're certain that the time has come for the Crossroads story to be done. However, rather than have any explosion of madness or huge disaster, we've chosen to give people a few weeks to wrap up their stories, and then we are drawing the curtain on the game in a nice, peaceable, ride-off-into-the-sunset fashion.

This has been an emotional decision in many ways, mainly because there are so many friendships that have been made here, so many wonderful stories told. We hope you continue to exercise your creativity in corporate fiction or whatever venue, and that we all can stay in touch or be remembered fondly.

Of course, some people will be looking for a new online home at this point, and we'd like to offer up bboard 2 for people to post suggestions of games that people can move to.

The closing date will be March 15th. After that, if anyone should be wanting to spin up a game and want the code from this one, Minion will keep it around for a bit in order to share.

The wiki will remain up for some time for existing characters to draw their stories to a close.
