Family History

She is the oldest of three, and it was a given that she would inherit the lands with her parents passing. Maia is her 20 year old sister and Christophe, her brother, is an Imperial Squire.

She had studied under the Order of the Ready Arm, though very few outside of Mist know. This is where she met her husband, Jonathan. The two seemed exceptionally happy together until his passing some five years later. Some have tried to imply the woman's aid in his death, and even gone so far as to dub her 'black widow'. Though rarely, she discusses her husband, she still wore the ring on her off-hand.

Arriving on Gateway soon after her husband's death, some feel that it is her artwork that has brought her to visit; others believe that it is her dedication to see Kraken Shoals prospers. If you ask the lady, it seems she is even more willing to invent other reasons. In time, she intends to bring her family to join her, or even take the reigns while she pursues other interests.

Catherine attended the Leuvian opera Alcyone on 29 March 506 where she was shot by a crossbowman at apparently short range. The bolt took her in the chest and she died upon the stage. Her sister took the reigns of the lordship, allowing Jonathan to continue his squire training.

Personality

Feisty has be used to describe the woman. Spitfire is another. Needless to say, the woman tends to have an opinion and voices it in the most direct manner. Unlike when she is discussing magic, this is a more personal passion and therefore, she is more guarded in her thoughts and opinions.

She is an educated woman, and enjoys the occasional debate. Not that it impairs her ruling, but that she's seen as an upstanding ruler. Rarely has one gotten to her bad side, not that it is impossible though.
