Annabella is quite valuable to the Duchy of Green Fields, in her profession as a midwife. Having been trained since she was 12 years old, she has experience in all stages of pregnancy, labor, and childbirth, including fertility treatments and high risk pregnancies.

Another way that Annabella earned some money is by doing veterinary work for various people. Her speciality is horses, but she will tend to any sick or injured animal.

The young woman is a rather sweet, intelligent, and quiet person. She has a few good friends, but is a bit shy in the company of strangers.

Bella was married to Baron Phaeton Forester, and gave birth to his first heir -- and his second, a set of identical twin boys. She also gave birth to a daughter. After four years of marriage, and her husband missing for over a year, Bella was relieved of her responsibilities as Baroness, and is back running her clinic. Her children are now wards of the Duke and Duchess of Green Fields.

Current Happenings and Events

Bella's life has changed dramatically, with the stripping of her title. Not to mention, losing custody of her children. She works incessantly at the clinic and community center. She is rather quiet and withdrawn.

In the summer of 507, Annabella Forester vanished from her clinic, never to be seen again.

Past Happenings

Bella tended to two women injured in a kraken attack -- Khalani Paggion, Baroness of Amphorae, and the courtesan known as Copper Calberon. She took Copper into her home, while the woman recuperates. However, she's had to find alternative quarters for the woman recently.

The long-awaited opening of the Community Center was a smashing success. The kissing booth, used to raise donations for the center, was well-staffed by the mysterious lady from the Outer Barrier, Margeaux. Everyone seemed to have a great time, except the Baroness herself, perhaps, after an embarrassing moment when she, herself, stepped into the booth.

Bella was one of several people who were whisked away by the demon Rosier for a long weekend at an unknown location. The demon's reason? He wanted to be entertained. Bella was very unhappy to be there, away from her children. Upon being returned to Gateway, the Baroness seems to have changed a little... not quite as nice and sweet (and naive) as she normally is. Perhaps it is just temporary... but perhaps not.

Personality

Bella is very intelligent, and not like most Green Fielders. She doesn't like the cruder aspects of Green Field social customs. She has a quiet, dependable strength. People seem to come to her quite a bit with their problems. She's patient and listens to anyone who needs her to, and tries to help when she can.

Since returning from the Gathering hosted by the demon Rosier, Bella seems a little different. While still kind and helpful, she has developed a bit of a coarseness when dealing with unpleasant situations. She's not backing down when people try to push her around anymore... she's pushing back.

Relationships

Two parents and 9 brothers, their wives, and numerous nieces and nephews, who all live on Green Fields.

Too many friends to list them all here, but among her closest are Titus, Iseldis, and her former sister-in-law Aileana.

Journal Entries

I had the most distressing evening last night. Seems my dear mother-in-law is meddling again, and actually trying to cause harm to one of my friends. And this morning, I get a note from the Empress, ordering me to throw out my houseguest -- the very same one my mother-in-law is trying to have harmed. If my darling mother-in-law thinks that she is going to get away with this, she is sadly mistaken. Why did I ever marry into this Forester family, anyway? Phaeton is a wonderful man, but with relatives like Phoebe and Firenza... what was I thinking?!? I can't fault the Empress, she is only following court protocol on the matter. But I have my suspicions about who told her about my houseguest... and it wasn't the palace maids. -- Personal Journal of Baroness Bella Forester. May 12, 505'
While it's very early yet, I told Phaeton tonight that we are expecting again. He was overjoyed! Perhaps after this one, I can convince him that we don't really need a dozen children to be happy... A set of twins and hopefully, another single baby, will be quite enough to handle for me. I am looking forward to the new baby, though, and hoping it is a girl this time. -- Personal Journal of Baroness Bella Forester. June 5, 505'

Logs

  • Healing after a Kraken Attack - Bella is summoned to the Tidal Pool, where a kraken has injured the Baroness of Amphorae, and the courtesan known as Copper.
  • More Midwife Duty - Bella assists the Duchess Aileana giving birth to her sixth child... in a tavern.

Trivia

Bella used to sell her virgin blood to a certain mage to fund her clinic, before she was married to Phaeton.

Bella's bride price was the largest ever in Gateway history. Some wonder why a peasant girl marrying a Baron would get a higher bride price than the Empress herself received.

With 9 older brothers, Bella is good at hunting, fishing, and playing sports.

For some reason, she dislikes the knight, Sir Brody, quite a bit. She will avoid him whenever possible.

Bella is the Duchess of Green Fields' personal midwife.

Bella's not one for formalities. She usually introduces herself by her first name and dresses casually when she is working as a midwife.

While some wonder when she is going to give the Baron more children, she doesn't seem to be in any hurry to do so.

She is intimidated by degreed healers. While she has some healing skill, those who went to university make her self-conscious about her lack of education.

Her dream is to go to the university and become a full-fledged healer, but with all her responsibilities, it is doubtful this dream will become a reality.
