Addison Fortescue

Addison is the former ward of Master Mage, Alastor Zecht, otherwise known as Vox, having been placed in his custody at the age of seven when her parents perished in a magical accident. Or so she believes. She was moved to Gateway Isle at the age of fourteen with her brother Fairfax to live with Alastor. Shortly after Addison's fifteenth birthday, Alastor was exposed as the leader of a demon worshiping cult and as a result of her connection to Alastor, she too was arrested. Her exact affiliations with the cult are rather unclear to the general public; what is known is that she managed to survive the accusations of being a cultist and the death sentence that it carries. For almost three years she resided within the castle with her brother, under the care and guidance of her new guardians, Emperor Rourke Caprios and Empress Philomena Caprios and working as the Chamberlain to the Duke of Mists.

Shortly after reaching her age of majority, she was elevated to the position of Lady Gryphon's Reach.

Less than a year after her elevation to Lady, there was a brief and very turbulent betrothal between herself and the Duke of Mists, and after many protested, some going so far as to challenge the young mage to Duels, the betrothal was broken. Only a few short weeks after that, Addison’s title as Lady Gryphon's Reach too was removed, leaving behind a cloud of speculation and whispered rumors of a quarrel between the Duke and his once betrothed.

Addison was born to Caroline and Michael Brandivere and raised by them until the age of seven. She doesn't remember the accident that took their lives, only that one day they did not return and both she and Fairfax were taken to stay with their new guardian, Alastor Zecht.

She now resides with and, for the most part, seems to be accepted as a member of the Imperial Family.

• Addison is missing the baby toe on her left foot.

• Speculation that the young Lady is something less than human circulates when kitchen servants reveal her odd appetite for raw meat and little else.

• Addison graduated to beginner level mage a few years early.

• Addison has a myriad of scars, both from her old life and that since being free of the cult. One of the most distinct and least known is the mark of the Lord of the Abyss carved into her back.

March 19, 503: Addison and Fairfax arrive on Gateway, and move in with their guardian, Alastor Zecht.

Sept 503: Addison and Fairfax are both arrested for suspicion of involvement with a demonic cult after their guardian, Alastor, is revealed as Vox and the person responsible for mass murder in the Ainsley Woods.

Oct 503: Both Addison and Fairfax are released from the castle cells, and confined to the castle.

Dec 503: After threats of being taken back by Vox, he makes good on his word and takes the teen from the beach by force, only to be returned to the revels salon a week later by Ryland, unharmed. She’s yet to openly speak on what took place while held captive.

March 504: Addison and Fairfax are both taken in as Imperial Wards.

November 03, 504: Addison's former guardian, Vox, was brought down on in the Ainsley Wood that he frequently haunted.

July 506: Addison goes to Rayder Pass on Guardian as the Imperial representative after the mountain collapse.

September 25, 506: Addison is elevated to Lady of Gryphon's Reach.

November 18, 506: Addison attends the execution of Arcadius in Gwencalon.

Feb 02, 507: Addison helps to investigate the mysteries of Dark Waters with Raziel Devonshire, Kyler Guybrush, Lucian Acinthas, Lachesis Eratosthenes, and Kyrie Mezelien.

June 02, 507: To the surprise of many, a betrothal between Addison and the Duke of Mists is announced.

July 28, 507: The brief lived and turbulent betrothal between Addison and the Duke of Mists is dissolved.

August 05, 507: Addison is called before the High Council to answer for charges of being a cultist.

August 19, 507: Less than a month from the one year marker of her elevation to Lady, an announcement of Addison's removal as Lady Gryphon's Reach is made.

May 23, 508: Addison hosts the Monsters and Villain's Masque.

June 8, 508: Addison receives a crate claimed to contain components. Inside is the dissected and dismembered body of her brother, Fairfax Brandivere.

August 12, 508: Addison is made Castellan.

December 18, 508: Rumors circulate that Addison is betrothed again, this time to the Paisian, Florian Fortescue.

June 22, 509: Addison marries Florian Fortescue in a small ceremony in the castle courtyard.

October 16, 509: After being gone for nearly four months, Addison returns to the Empire with her husband, followed by a cloud of rumors surrounding the death of the Prince Juste Chevalier du Soleil and just what their involvement in his death might have been.

October 20, 509: It comes out that Addison and Florian have purchased the Blushing Petal.
